The university or college you choose to go to can have a major impact on the rest of your life, so it's probably a good idea to do some research first. Also, for the first time ever, we've broken down the complete list of top US universities by state, so you can find a leading study destination that's close to home (and probably more affordable than expensive out-of-state options).
Niche User: I greatly enjoy the overall ambience of Princeton University. The University truly offers a high quality education, especially as a result of its wonderful professors, some of which are Nobel Laureates. Moreover, the University's network allows for extensive connection between current and graduated students. This leads to great opportunities that would not necessarily be available elsewhere. Lastly, I really believe the Bridge Year program instills a humble nature in students through introducing the opportunity to volunteer for a year abroad. Doing so allows students to mature and experience other cultures prior to embarking on a difficult, yet rewarding task of attending Princeton University.

Freshman: From amazing academics to contagious school spirit, I have loved my first year at Michigan. The universe exceeded all of my expectations. Everyone student is motivated to do their best. This is not only in a classroom setting, but it is in every aspect of their lives. I am pushed by all my peers to try my hardest. Although a large school, the administration truly cares about every student, and there are countless numbers of resources available to help with anything one may need. The social aspect of school is amazing. There are so many different types of people, clubs, and parties, so everyone can find something they like. GO BLUE!

Niche User: I got accepted for Astronomy/Astrophysics at the Daytona Beach Campus. I’m thrilled about this. I was emailing the Senior Assistant Director of Admissions Megan Spurrel, and I 90% do not recommend contacting her with questions and you’re better off emailing someone else on the admissions team. I was asking about the Worldwide program and wondering if I would be able to transfer to it if my major was offered by the program and whatnot (it’s not.) Never did I say I definitely wanted to transfer, and I never asked her to cancel my application but she took it upon herself to do so (I emailed her back before she did, thankfully.) I find it ridiculous that she would assume that was okay when I was ONLY INQUIRING. I’ve read through the emails, there is no way she should’ve gotten confused and believed it was alright to cancel my application. Besides her, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the institution. I hope that everything works out so I can attend!

Graduate Student: Professors and advisers are extremely helpful, very specific and specialized degree fields! I was able to get a full time job in my field right after receiving my bachelors degree from the Daytona campus then almost immediately started on my Master's work. Its an expensive school, but the return on your investment will be well worth it.

Let’s face it, there are many reasons to live in Florida and to go to college in Florida. Being near the beach, year-round warm weather and access to numerous outdoor activities are the perfect complement to classes, friends and nightlife. Florida’s climate is warm, subtropical and has an average yearround temperature of 82°F. Aside from classes and studying, student life may include sports or participation in Greek or service clubs. There’s so much more to a Florida life than what’s on campus.
Florida’s rental housing market (with the exception of Miami) is often more affordable than markets in the Northeast and West. Working students will not pay state income tax, and Florida has one of the lowest sales tax rates in the nation, making everyday purchases like food, gas and nights out on the town less costly. In essence, the cost of going to college in Florida can be much less than many other locations.
